OWL Eclipsed NA LCS in Average Viewership

Overwatch League pulled down an average concurrent viewership of 154,000 people whereas the North American League of Legends Championship Series had 106,000 people. However, the numbers only takes Twitch viewership into account. Unlike OWL, NALCS broadcasts over YouTube in addition to Twitch so their viewership is divided.

In addition, this was the first week of Stage Two for the OWL whereas it was week 6 out of 9 for the sprint split of the NALCS. It does speak to the idea that OWL is doing themselves a major service by splitting the season into multiple stages and allowing for meta resets mid-season. Interest was clearly drawn back into OWL for the start of the stage.
