The inaugural season of Overwatch came with a $20 million price tag for new franchises, a price most people thought was a bit too high. Compared to Riot’s League of Legends NALCS, buy-in price was only $10 million. As it turns out, the $20 million may have been quite the bargain. ESPN reports are speculating that the buy-in price for Stage 2 of the Overwatch League (OWL) could be around $35 million and can go as high as $60 million for certain markets. Do you think the performance of the OWL thus far warrants such a steep increase in price?
