A few months back, we talked about the Discovery Tour mode in Assassin’s Creed: Origins. It was meant for people to walk around and be able to learn about ancient Egypt through the game. A test was run recently to see how well kids learned from it versus a lecture from a teacher. 44% of kids learned better from the game versus 51% from a teacher. Now, of course, this is a small sample size and a limited scope test, but it lends credence to the idea that the project was worth doing for Ubisoft and is worth further exploring.
