Kotaku Reveals Ongoing Culture of Sexism and Misogyny at Riot Games

A Kotaku expose, about 8000 words in length, has emerged detailing the accounts and reports of the toxic culture at Riot Games. Rampant misogyny, bro culture, and frat house mentality pervade the company according to the report.
It includes accounts of female staffers who had to prove their gamer cred in interviews, as well as unwelcome advances while on the job.
While the report is the most explicit and detailed we’ve seen, allegations of misogyny and bro culture are nothing new. The company’s Glassdoor page is littered with complaints about just that.

Riot has responded to the article:

“This article shines a light on areas where we haven’t lived up to our own values, which will not stand at Riot. We’ve taken action against many of the specific instances in the article, and we’re committed to digging in, addressing every issue, and fixing the underlying causes. All Rioters must be accountable for creating an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to be heard, grow their role, advance in the organization, and fulfill their potential.”
